Developer Country Land Australia has announced plans to develop a $120 million health and education precinct in the growing suburb of Tarneit, located in Melbourne’s west.
The project will be established on a 13.7-acre site at 645 Derrimut Road, which the company recently acquired from Gold Bank Real Estate for $14 million. The land is already zoned for mixed use, paving the way for a variety of educational and healthcare facilities.
Led by former Wyndham councillor Intaj Khan, Country Land Australia is inviting both public and private health organisations, as well as educational institutions, to register their interest in being part of the new precinct.
Prospective tenants or partners will be offered two pathways: they can either purchase land and develop their own facilities, or opt for Country Land Australia to construct purpose-built infrastructure on their behalf.
The developer also revealed plans to engage with state and federal governments to explore potential opportunities for TAFE colleges and universities to be part of the project.
In a statement, the company said the development is expected to boost growth in Melbourne’s western corridor and generate new employment opportunities for local residents.
Construction is slated to begin in 2025, marking a significant investment in both the region’s infrastructure and its long-term educational and healthcare needs.
